Got my friend to create a net passport account so she can use Windows messenger.
We chatted successfully but later in day when she clicked on my name to send a message, she clicked ok but there was no window appearing to write message.
I sent her a message and she saw the pop up by the clock advising her of my mssg and on the taskbar was the conversation window but when she clicked on it the window will not restore, it either highlights or unhighlights.
The only open Window is the main windows Messenger Window.
She downloaded the latest version so we both have the same vers.
We both have Windows firewall and Windows Messenger is ticked in the exception tab,
She disabled the firewall, that made no difference.
I have a feeling she may have received an alert of some kind in messenger which she has ignored, but I could be wrong.
Anybody have any ideas please?

let her try to right click ur name in the main window and then select start a conversation with this person...if that doesnt help then maybe check privacy tab in options>tools menu
