I just got up to go to work and quickly read my emails, it seems the Microsoft have picked me to test Windows Server 2005...

Has anybody else been picked, although, I need to wait 24 hours for it so I can download it :rolleyes:...

Stupid Microsoft :p... I don't know what computer to install it on :s... I might install it on my Dad's laptop...

Windows Server 2005? Are you sure it's not 2003 R2?
There's no such thing as Windows Server 2005, the only thing even remotely similar would be Windows Server 2003 R2, which will be released soon, (It's still beta and actively getting new testers).

It's like another "Service Pack" for Windows Server 2003, but actually quite more than what a normal service pack is. It's pretty nice. Has tons of new features, I think quite a bit of it is kinda NDA, but one you get access to the beta area at beta place, you can read all about it.

Haven't checked email yet, but couple of months ago Microsoft picked me to test their Windows Server 2 003 "R2" Beta. I had to decline that, because Im not my network admin and other agreements that didn't find compromise with my capabilities. Anyway, I registered myself as a Messenger tester, so I don't understand why they sent me this invitation about Windows Server.

Of course I know what a virtual machine is :rolleyes:...

I'd rather install it as an operating system on my dad's laptop, it will be less hastle :P...

I'll just run it on that and put all of my Dad's work on it...

I'm going to download it after I have bought Virtual Machine, until then, I'm going to burn a load of stuff onto a dvd-r, so that I have space on my computer...

I wanted something like windows, or WMP or Messenger or something like office ... not server :-/

I was selected to Windows Server 2003 RC2 a few months ago, but nothing happened since then:(, i answered the questions and then nothing since then..

I got an invite to take a quiz for Windows Server 2003 R2, i guess i didnt get picked.. i woner why ? *-) lol I soo don't understand anything in that domain :)
