Weird Quick-text problem by Elladan Lossehelin on 06-12-2005 at 08:12 AM

Well today I had this problem where the quick text messages default and custom spazzed out, What I mean is when I was talking to one of my contacts it sent a random quick-text message at random times(about 5 minutes or so inbetween each message) I'm not sure if this was a Msg+ problem does anyone have any idea what happened?

Were you typing a message at the time?
Also, are you running the new versions of MSN messenger and Plus!? (7.0.0813 and 3.54.132)

This may be a really long shot but if you were and you were saying something along the lines of "I'm going 2" and it sends your second quicktext, your Alt key is jammed :P

Anything that could be clashing with it? Other shortcuts/plug ins

Did you recognise the message that was sent, what did it say?
Has anything similar happened again, or before?

Not likely. If your account got "hacked" this wouldn't happen, you would just get signed out and the "hacker" would get signed in. If your computer was hacked, it is not likely that someone would do something stupid like this. If your computer was infected with a Trojan, you would either know of nothing, or you would get little annoying tricks played on you a lot often. Have you experienced any other anomalies?
None the less, it would seem logical to perform a virus scan of your computer. You can download a free virus scanner called AVG Antivirus, by clicking here. Once installed scan all your system. However I would be surprised if anything showed up.

Unless it happens again, or you experience any other strange anomalies, I would put it down to a random bug.
