hey guys, im new here and i was wondering if there is a plug in that the displays the information on the songs im listening to and works with winamp / windows 98, or at least windows media player 7. i would appreciate it

aw i downloaded it but it doesnt seem to work 
remember that i have windows 98 / msn 7.0.0813 / winamp 5.093

the plug-in gets automatically installed, and i can see the configuration options in the preferences section of winamp. but how do i get it to appear in the msn-?

Tools -> Options -> Personal -> Check "Show song information from Windows Media Player as a personal message".

windows media player 9 is only compatible with windows 98 second edition, not with the standard version ...

Many bugs and many security issues are fixed in 98SE. You should update to it for many reasons.
98 is considered obsolete...

hehe thanks for posting that but nah, i wont update my windows just to make a plug in work 
i was wondering if there was something i could do with the standard edition of windows 98, but it's ok if there's not thanks for replying anyway, means a lot.

No need to update your Windows... jsut download Media Player 9 from Microsoft's website.

You downloaded AND installed it???
How did you do that???
Sure I can download it but I can't install wmp 9, the installation program doesn´t let you go further than a message telling me what I already know (I can't install wmp 9 unless I have at the very least win 98 SE)
If you did it I certainly wanna know how
