How did you get a picture of lightning. I've tried dozens of times but im always to late. As lightnings so quick

It's called precision and hopefully (for a good shot) a camera that can keep its shutter open for as long as possible. Be warned though, with a lot of the newer and cheaper digital cameras emerging you'll receive interference/noise when doing longer exposures and you're limited with the length of your exposure because of the CCD chip in your camera (they overheat quite easily on long exposures)

It takes a while to get it right, but once you've got it down you can get some pretty amazing shots. I'll try to dig up some of mine.

Nikon D70 with a Nikor 18mm-70mm

And I used the burst shot with a shutter speed of 40 and an Fstop of 3.5. Then I just shot as soon as I saw one strike and hopefully caught another in the process.

ahhhh my auntie's got that one. I reccomend to get the big lense its superb.
