For me, a movie has to be funny, (scary is always good), and has action. Of course, the actors & their acting matter too!

The things that matter, are if the actors are good, if the script is good, and there aren't very much plotholes and stuff

A good movie is Batman Returns 
, I went to the theater to see it yesterday.. I like it very much

pretty much anything you go to see in theaters is good just because its on a ginourmous screen, but horror movies are good but NONE are scary (exorcist begining was f'ing hillarious)
A comedy is always good and i absolutely loved star wars!!
im such a movie guy i go to like every movie in theaters

Yeah me too , I'm in the theater more then 2 a month
Costs me a fortune, buit it's worth it
And I don't think everything is good because the screen is big, that's nonsense.
I went to saw last week, that one is really good too, very surprising. And yes Episode Three was very cool , I want to see it again

bad films would be : Alien vs Predator, Final Fantasy movie, Jack Frost 2 : Revenge of the mutant killer snowman (I own the last one )

A very good movie is where there's lot of originality, almost all the times a second part sux (Lot of examples like Jurassic Park, Toy Story, Matrix....), also nowadays nice FX, storyline. They MUST have the 3 basics: Romance/Action/Comedy

There are cams of Episode 3 too, and a VCD version I think. No scene screeners, xvids or dvdrips yet. Sadly.

Hmmmmm what makes a good movie? I love the ones that keep you guessing till the end. One with a big twist.
I like arty movies. Movies which make you think (Donnie Darko for example). Movies which make you talk about it afterwards.

I have to agree with you there. I watched Oceans 11, and I was astounded by the way they did it, it was such a good twist. Then, of course, I watched Oceans 12 on valentines day at the cinema... It sucked, the twist sucked, the acting sucked, it was a generally sucky film throughout, bad storyline and a bad script.
Anyway, back on topic
.I don't really like any specific films, like music, I have hundreds of DVD's and video-tapes around the house, and they range loads, I like Horror, Fantasy, Comedy, Thriller, Action-Thriller, Comedy-Horror etc. Every genre is what I really like, but it needs to be something that is pretty much good, if it's not good, then I won't watch it.

They were filming Oceans Twelve in my city, and I have autographs from almost everyone from the film, but when I looked at the movie I was shocked how bad it was...

Saw has a nice twist all the movie long

yeah, there are always cams... ts are the first out usually, then centropy, both of them have shitty quality tho. look for independent cam rips, usually better than the major groups.
I think the first VCD out was of the workprint, it's UGLY - and that's an understatement. However, there's a newer one floating around on ftps if you got the hookups which is slightly nicer... or so I've heard.

That is my style. Night of the Iguana was a play anyway, but they're all beautifully scripted, performed, filmed (don't forget filming techniques) and the storylines say some lush stuffs. I like films which make me rethink things. As for The Tarentinos; "was that as good for u as it was for me.". And sound tracks can make or break a film. i can think of a couple of films which have sound tracks which just remove all my intentions of seeing the film.

I love comedy's such as Idol Hand, Forest Gump and classic great movies like Fight club that make you think. I also love action movies like black hawk down,The punisher. Pulp fiction is also a great movie I love the style of the movie.

well it seemed to me, when the film finished, that the people who dinner like the film, just didnt understand it.

I mean, there was me and my friend rose who were in the cinema, and we both love this kinda thing, and when the film finished, we excitedly passing extra info we had noticed which the directors had put it..
little things throughtout that helped predict the plot
was sooooo goood

It was a sort of confusing movie. If you didn't see Ocean's 11, you got lost almost right away.

That's why you should always see the first movie before you see the sequel
But the director made a big mistake with 12,
Eleven was all slick and cool, and everything went almost as planned... But the director tried the opposite in 12, everything was clumsy and went wrong, and that just wrecked the movie . The only thing I really liked was that a part of it was in my city

* shine 's idea of a good film is the one... after seeing... should not feel like you've been taken for a ride..should be sensible, has some logic in the story, enjoyable and feel content.

my idea of a good film is that there has to be fighting (either by swords or martial arts, maybe some guns too) wouldd be nice if the cool parts of the fighting would be in slow motion..the film has to have some comedy..maybe some nudity 
.. and either good ending or bad ending .. the film has to have a moral in it.. and during the film some wise words like "with great power, comes great responsibilty - from Spiderman" would also add a little taste ..

i dunno what the perfect movie would be
my favorite movie would probably be the Italian job (2003), but i really like the james bond movies (more dalton and brosnan than the others, but i like them all)
i also really like After the sunset and Hostage, cellular wasnt bad, and neither were Team america or hitch, they were pretty good.
