the laptop i saw in a bestbuy flyer is this:

COMPAQ

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ with cool n quiet technology
1024mb DDR Memory
80 gb harddrive
DVD+/-RW and CD-RW combo drive
128mb ATI Radeon XPRESS 200m IGP graphics
built in 802.11g wireless lan

price CAD $1599.99

now my question is, if my home network hasa linksys wireless B router

will i be able to use the laptop with my router?
or will i be SOL( SH*T Out Of Luck)

you should be able to, most "g" standard wirless network adapters are backwards compatible with "b"

All 'g' are backwards-compatible, as they're both '802.11'. The only difference between 'b' and 'g' is the speed (11Mbps vs 54Mbps).
