IGP doesn't mean AGP, afaik its a chipset that ATi use, I think that is is designed for graphics cards that need to be efficient, i.e. use low power consuption and don't heat up too much.

IGP = Integrated Graphics processor; a chip on your motherboard. But remember that on-board graphics are mostly slower as they share system RAM rather than having their own dedicated, fast RAM. They can also permit to admit less heat and thus can't run as fast as external graphics cards.

When they say the IGP graphics chip has 128MB memory, this means there is 128MB hypermemory (faster as system RAM) especially for this graphic chip reserved on the motherboard. This fixes somewhat the problem of integrated graphics chips using slow system RAM.

AGP = a special slot (colored in brown) on your motherboard to plug an AGP compatible graphics card in it...

to be truthfull cookie, Ati's IGP is more powerfull then intel Extreme graphics

my gf used to play sims on her p4 2.9 laptop which had an ati igp345

she now plays it on a p4 2.9 with intel extreme graphics, (HP) and the sims 2 jumps badly

so in this case i can show praise for ati as their onboard chip is top notch over intels

Nvidia's Geforce Go range still kicks ass though :)
