This background is called 'Ierland.jpg' (Ireland) in the Dutch Windows XP version.

It most probably is from Ireland as Tochjo said. Ireland is a beautiful place with thriving countryside and beautiful mountain areas...

in the portuguese version is called Alentejo - is a part of portugal
so it's probaly fake

its probably put together..google "sky" copy image, google grassy hills copy image, google mountains copy image, open all in photoshop put sky as a bottom layer..put mountains as a middle layer..put the hills as a top layer..add some shadows to the hills layer..adjust levels, contrast/brightness and there you go
