I just borrowed my friends Far Cry, i install it perfectly. the problem is that when playing the game is will crash randomnly. the sound still goes on but the controls are unresponsive. if i press the power button on my computer my screen will go blank then my desktop will appear with everything minimised including far cry. i cant use alt-tab or any other shortcuts during the game whether it crashes or not. i havnt updated the game version with any patches cos they r too big to download lol (75Mb)

any ideas on this?

Does your PC meet the system requirements of the game?

Also some games do crash when you Alt + Tab

yeh my specs are fine for the game

Well, you think the updates are too big I guess this answer is kindof useless:

Update the following drivers:
- Videocard
- Soundcard

These two cards mostly cause much problems with games
If this doesn't work, try :

- Updating DirectX to 9.0c
- Updating your Chipset Drivers

Paches for games are mostly important, so try to keep them as up to date as possible..

Oh and...If you use "fixes", they sometimes can cause problems too...
