eDonkey or mule or something.... by MC Inferno on 07-14-2005 at 12:35 AM

I asked this other forum coz its their website and that but noone of them are seeming to reply so I'd thought I'd ask you lot instead. If you know the answer's can you post it on this thread, or the one I've linked here

quote:
[MC Inferno]I'm using bearshare and i stumbled across this website. I love this and if its worth it, i'll probably become a regular (lol) but wen i wanted to download something it opened up my P2P (bearshare). I searched for the 9 files i wanted (automatically) and there was no luck for all of them. I have a few questions, if thats ok.

1. Is eDonkey any good or is the something better?
2. What is the success rate of getting the video i want?
3. if its a P2P, wont that sometimes make stuff unavilable?
4. If i did get it, should i get rid of bear share, cioz thats been pretty decent wit my music like?
5. Does it come with adware, etc.?

Reply fast please :P Thanx

Thats the message, but like i say, the orignal thread is here Any Help Ppl?

edonkey i think is normally quite good for finding files (not normally music tho) but there can be issues with completing or even startign downloads...

gnutella network seems to be more useful for general downloads and far more successful

eMule seems to be a very efficient client, works with the eDonkey network. It's best for those with broadband connections though. No adware in it (open source).
