i was thinking of instead of having the text bar saying the contact may not reply because he/she is offline, etc... and instead have a changeable status icon infront of the users name.

Do you mean to be able to change the icon that appears there? I don't see the usefulness of that...

i think he means the actual status text, however there is no point... but all faith to the guy, cos hes like a brand new label.. 1 post LoL

i think he means a knew online/offline/busy/away status icon.
