Changing languages in PS2 games by Reaper on 07-17-2005 at 04:06 PM

I bought a ps2 game when i was in malaysia. wen i got home i realised i bought the japanese language version instead of the english (btw i have a chipped ps2). i was wondering if i cud change the language of the game by copying the content of the disc to my pc and downloading a language or something like

any ideas on this?

[Edit] im not sure if i can talk bout this but, if want to burn 2 or more games onto a dvd is it possible to make a menu or something like that to choose the game?

Because of the way games will be compiled, and the languages included, it's just not possible. Well, it is, but you'd have to sift through reams of assembler just to find the text in the first place!
As for the multi-game disc, that's theoretically possible, but only if you can write a program to load a game yourself.

In short, you're a bit screwed :P Next time, check it's in English.
