Help me Please by Nathan on 07-17-2005 at 05:32 PM

Hiya,
I'm ripping my hair out.
I got 556kbps broadband and it's fliping taking 34.6 seconds to load one Page!
Why is it doing this.
I'm on a netgear router and there's 3 different pc's using the smae router.
Problem is it usually takes about 3 seconds to load a page. Why is this happening?

im on a home network, and usually when other computers are downloading or running programs that need the internet then it can slow down the speed. are the other computers downloading and which computer has the direct net connection?

ur net speed is split between the 3 computers so that myt be y its slow. your mums connection will obviously be the fastest.

Have you tried running virus/spyware tests on all of the networked PCs?

I have had spyware before, which steals all the bandwidth (my sisters PC had some), and it was making mine load real slooooooow.

wtf? [Image: xso_undecided.gif] scince when did the first port get the "Direct" net connection. its provided on a first computer to request it gets it unless two computers demand it then it will try to balance (depends on the router though...)
