Hiya,
My taskbar has dissappeared and no matter what i doo it stays dissapeared!
Anyone got any advice?

when you press the windows key or ctrl+esc does the taskbar come back?

i have got skinning software i downloaded it amd know i cant get it off

If you can get the taskbar up then right click it and see if "Keep Taskbar on top of other windows" is unchecked.
If it is then check it.

Have you tried re-booting your PC and see if that brings it back?

I just did a system retore on it and it's working now

Glad you got it back again, I often find that doing a system restore can be the best solution to putting everything back the way it was before things went wrong, well done.

do you mind telling us what the name of the software was that screwed you up? i would like to avoid it :/. i never have used system restore and i never will (its disabled).

It defiantly wasn't a vrius i scaneed loads of times. I think it was a wallpaper i downloaded. I dont think it was compatible with my pc

I doubt it was the wallpaper at all, I don't think image files can actually hold any type of virus, I'm not saying that it was a virus, but it cannot edit any of your settings, but not being "compatible", if it wasn't compatible, it simply wouldn't work...
By the way, I didn't say that it was a virus
