Polygamy by qgroessl on 07-22-2005 at 01:02 PM

Whenever I try to open a second msn using polygamy I get this message:

                         Shortcut (on the taskbar)

Because the Specified Socket Port was used it is now changed to: 1610

                         OK (the only option)

Just curious as to what it is... I thought I saw something on the forums before but came up with nothing on the search... Doesn't seem to affect messenger at all... Just a weird popup

hmm what polygamy tool are you using?

RE: Polygamy by qgroessl on 07-22-2005 at 01:05 PM

Hmm... I think I have it enabled on Stuffplug-NG... and A-patch..... This message only started coming up a couple days ago... and I hadn't downloaded any new plugins or anything when it started.

Take it off A-Patch, if you try to run two sets of polygamy, I imagine it is a comptability type thing

Hmm... alright... well... Let's see if it works..... I'm not sure but I don't think it will, since I've had both of them enabled for much longer than the 3 or 4 days it's been happening.

EDIT: Must try later though... I'm off to breakfast with a good friend.

I remember having this error message a while back. I just reinstalled MSN Messenger and it was fine after that.

Also, i know it has worked with both polygamys, but just to be safe, if you reapply the patch, don't select polygamy and just use stuffplug's one.

Also, try disabling Stuffplug's polygamy and see if the error still occurs. It will just be using A-patch's polygamy.

Thanks! I just unchecked it in stuffplug... figured it would be easier than reapplying the patch... No more error like I got...

Off topic: :p haha... My breakfast was good ;)... I figured I'd tell you guys since I didn't get to answer quickly.
