my gerbil died by super-schaf on 07-24-2005 at 03:00 PM

my gerbil died on thursday evening :'(

it was called frodo.

i could not find a pic of frodo but here is the other gerbil called arwen (my sister named it) which also died last year.

its a type of mouse that lives in the desert.

doesent matter freaky guy.frodo was dark gray but arwen was blond.

Ah, sorry to hear about your gerbil, when I was younger my hamster died, and it upset me...Gerbils and hamsters have fairly short lifespans.

yeah mine lived for 2 years (that would be the equivelent of 70 gerbil years!)

yeah, better raising dogs or tortiose(that way, they can mourn for us). i had a cat once but then it got some kindof infection and the doctor said that we had to leave her....didnt eat my food for like 3 days...i was really sad.

Dogs don't live longer than Humans

...but yeah Tortioses can live for ages, but they don't move at all, so I'd rather live for 75-100 years than move at 0.5mph when at my fastest

yeah dogs dont live more than 14 yrs, the only dog we ever had lived for like 12, in the end he got all clumsy, sort off, he got deaf and blind and couldnt smell right and started attacking family members and frends, we had to send him away.
but my dad loves pets, we have loads of them.

i have a labrador rite now....thats if u dont count the numerous rats running around in my house's empty basment....i havnt named them yet...
and yeah, there are organizations u can report to for cruelty to animals...

Sorry about your gerbil. :sad: I know how you feel, we have had many rabbits that have died (one was called Sooty - he was so friendly, and had to be put down. :sad: ). I hate it when animals die.

a dogs lifespan depends on breed and size, smaller dogs usually live for longer, they can live for more than 14 years aswell, to whoever said they cant

My friend had a white lab that lived to 20. One lab set a world record of 27 years. That breed isn't small at all

But in most cases you are right, small dogs do live longer. Like Great Danes the biggest dog breed only live for like 7-9 years

Sorry about your gerbil! Two of my 3 cats I've had, have died . It sucks. At least you'll have all the good memories (I know that was cheesy but that's what everyone said to me! lol).

its actuly called a rennmaus (a running mouse) in german but they also call it a spring maus.i know it becos i live in switzerland ;-)
