whevever i sign into msn messenger this error appears

i am not sure what this error is doing so my question is, what does this error mean and how do i fix it, another problem i am having is that emoticons dont show up anymore, i just get the shortcut text

That looks a little suspicious up to me, have you ran any adware/spyware removal programs lately, or even virus software, and are your definitions up to date... I would say run some removal software, and see if it gets rid of the message.
Emoticon problem: In the instant messaging window, go to Tools, and press "Show Emoticons".

thx for the advice, i'll run a spyware and adware removal software and i'll scan for viruses, i'll post back after the tests to see if its fixed

Few things also you can try. Tools > Options > General > Uncheck Display MSN Today when Messenger signs in
Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced > Check Disable Script Debugging and Uncheck Display a notification about every script error.
