by any chance have you looked at the documentation or possibly a support website for that piece of software?

Yeah, this happens for me too, I've stopped using it now though

Uh, try setting up Static DHCP in your router, see if that helps anything

Quote from the ZoneLabs forum:

That was fixed in the newest release. Download and then install ZA Free 6.0.631.003

If that doesn't work:

Check your ZA Overview > Product Info to confirm you have ZA 6.0.631.003 installed and not ZA 6.0.631.002. If you do, then it would seem ZA is not 'remembering' your setting which usually means a corrupt database. Try a reset. When you reset your database, you will lose all your customizations and program permissions.

1. Boot your computer into the safe mode. {Instructions if needed}
2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
4. Reboot Windows.

The next time it happens give the permissions you want for the Trusted zone. Now right click on the ZA icon in your system tray, select 'shutdown Zone Alarm', wait about a minute then launch ZA again. If it remembered your network, reboot and see if it still remembers. If it does not remember in your tries, then your database is likely corrupt and should be reset. You will lose your customizations but ZA should remember your network and program permissions once you reset them again. Reset the database this way.

1. Shut down Zone Alarm by right clicking on the system tray icon and select 'shutdown'.
2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
4. Start Zone Alarm again.
.... seem like i can do it now:P Thanks for the tips anyway:)

The first way is to just update to the newest version. Are you sure you are using the newest version? (6.0.631.003)

I guess you can't do it without safe mode, because in normal mode the file is in use by ZoneAlarm

p.s. I'm not on my own pc, so I can't give you the link to the forum right now :wink:
