everytime i sing in i get all the alerst of whos online and stuff i there  a way i can stop that?

There is probably a little bit of lag in the sign in, so it detects less contacts than there actually are, so because it detects them later than usual, it thinks that they are just signing in, so they all popup like so.

That is just what I think by the way, that's how I would put it.

no this happedns every time i sing in, even if they are already theere and its noying

You can disable the alerts:
Tools -> Options -> Alerts and Sounds -> Display alerts..

Also msgplus provides alerts for other events, but I think they are normally off by default anyway:
Plus! -> Preferences -> Notifications

Of course, this will disable ALL of the notifications you get when someone signs in..

Do you have anything that could be slowing your MSN down... for example all your DDPs which i know you have cos of your desktop to do lol

Well DDP's slowed my MSN down too hence i posted, try removing some and see how it goes (Y)

Did you disable the notifications?
Turning them off is only a temporary solution, it doesn't really solve the problem. It's hard to locate the cause though, especially after installing the A-Patch/Mess patch and/or msgplus.
Cool Rik, it will be interesting to see if your computer still freezes even when you don't get popups.
