i don't know if any of this are possible but here it goes:

  • Auto-respond sound: There is a auto respond message for personalizated status. How about a auto respond sound? i think this would be very good.
  • Password protection for received files: this would be good for privacy.i use protection for logs and i think that for received files it's good too
  • Tranperency only in contact list background: There is tranperency in all messenger. How about tranperency only in  the contact list background?:)

hope this is possible to make.
thanks.

You can put "/sound + sound hash" command in the auto-respond message. Of course, your contacts will need to have MsgPlus! ;)

Do you meen like autorespond with a custom sound?
If you just use a autorespond message and have the message as /sound Code of the sound
for example
code:
/sound  #86C83343FBA3

Note: you can find out this code of i sound by going to the sound panel (Add remove sounds window) and select the sound you want then click edit sound, and the code will be shown in the window.

¬_¬ regexp was faster

1.) you can do this already as the auto message put /sound the the name :)

2.) I like this idea alot as does sound possible

3.) Impossible, in xp. Maybe windows vista could support this but patchou does not edit certain parts of msn messenger but one whole section otherwise he would need to patch it and even then it is currently impossible in windows 2000 and xp. Maybe vista ;)

edit: you all beat me to it :(

and i think he means just the background and not the display picture and so ;)

It is possible if you would write your own MSN client (and the OS supports alpha transparency and irregular shaped windows), it isn't possible by simply patching msn messenger and the work-around would be simply a huge mess and dodgy and incompatible code...

I like the password on the My Received Files idea, :)

If you want that you can take advantage of MSN Messenger itself. MSN Messenger has a build-in virusscanner; that is, it launches the program you have entered on the line where you would put a commandline virusscanner. So, why not put the encryption program of your likings right there?
