ok well i would like to go in to MSCONFIG but its just my luck that my computer shows this error message when i go to run and type in msconfig

is there a download of some sort to get msconfig?

you are using 2000 right? not vista or anything?
try msconfig.exe. also, try searching for it, because its not usually right in C:\Windows.

On Windows 2000 msconfig is not available. Microsoft removed it.
Download msconfig here: msconfig for Windows 2000. (Windows XP version.)

Personally I think because Windows 2000 is more ment for businesses and you wouldn't want one of your employees to fool around with your settings.
