I would get Look 'n' Stop for a firewall. Ranked #1 by www.firewallleaktester.com. Pretty much the best firewall out there. Also very light on resources. I've tested them all and found this one to be the best when it comes to protection, and overall performance. Zone Alarm is shit anyway. It's just popular that is all. RE: Virus attack by M73A on 08-19-2005 at 03:18 PM zone alarm was ranked best by loadsa other places also.... just depends what source you see as to what is the best firewall RE: Virus attack by lordy on 08-20-2005 at 01:10 AM i use ZoneAlarm and it's the best i've ever used, much easier to use than other ones out there RE: Virus attack by Hank on 08-20-2005 at 01:14 AM
Sygate Personal Firewall is Now owned by Norton i heard Zonealarm Suite is best RE: Virus attack by [MR] on 08-20-2005 at 03:38 AM use symantec antivirus...its actually better than NAV 2005 RE: Virus attack by Nathan on 08-20-2005 at 08:33 AM I´d get Antivirus by grisoft. It´s the best. It notifies you when you download a virus. And it gives you options, like delete it, stick it into the vault... etc RE: Virus attack by -dt- on 08-20-2005 at 08:49 AM
quote: err nearly every antiv Ive seen done that , norton does it , Zonealarm does it.... zonelarm is the best if your using IE swap to firefox or even opera (*shivers*) RE: Virus attack by Nathan on 08-20-2005 at 08:52 AM No......... Grisoft Antivirus is the best RE: Virus attack by saralk on 08-20-2005 at 08:54 AM
quote: Opera is the best browser RE: Virus attack by Nathan on 08-20-2005 at 08:57 AM Firefox, Firefox, Firefox RE: Virus attack by [MR] on 08-20-2005 at 02:24 PM
quote:ya i wa sabout to say that every antivirus does that ....and symantec is the esiest to deal with if u get the corperate edition of it. quote:firefox RE: Virus attack by ShawnZ on 08-20-2005 at 02:49 PM
just stop accepting random exe files over msn messenger? A firewall wont do shit for you unless you're getting hacked because you use windows xp sp0 or something like that, in which case you can just upgrade to prevent. RE: Virus attack by Eljay on 08-20-2005 at 02:58 PM

This thread is about Viruses and anti-viruses, not whether you like Opera, IE or Firefox. RE: Virus attack by user27089 on 08-20-2005 at 03:06 PM Try using a better Antivirus program, I have found that McAfee is better than Norton. RE: Virus attack by [MR] on 08-20-2005 at 03:30 PM
quote: what...i tried McAfee and it didnt even do anything useful. RE: Virus attack by linx05 on 08-20-2005 at 03:35 PM
quote:All anti-viruses do that. If that is how you pick your anti-virus then I feel sorry for you. quote:Depends if the site you saw it on was a reputable one How did this turn into a browser war? Start another thread. This is about viruses not which browser is better! (Gee, I wonder who started it? Who else ) RE: Virus attack by Fergy on 08-20-2005 at 04:31 PM I use Firefox (and no i'm not trying to provoke a browser war, its my personal choice) with Leechget 2005 (downloading app) and get it to scan every file i download with VET anti-virus (by computer associates). Allthough I hate to say this, i still use the lame Windows XP SP2 Firewall. I also scan whatever files I get over MSN as well. Vet has never let me down. RE: Virus attack by Rubber Stamp on 08-20-2005 at 05:13 PM i said i m using zonealarm pro now....and firefox. |
