Lately, I've been hit with loads of pop-ups. Is there something I can download and use to prevent them from occuring? This must've been mentioned earlier, but the search function doesn't really help.

[Edit:] Hm, a pop-up, quite conviently came up for spywarelinkcentral.com (Y) or (N)? Anyone?

You likely have Ad-ware. I suggest you use Ad-Aware
to scan for any adware and remove it. And Also Spybot S&D.

Oh yeah! I know this sounds stupid, but I've totally lost the habit of starting up Ad-Aware..:S I used to check like everyday. Okay. I'll get on it. Thanks!

i suggest you go to add/ remove programs first and uninsatll anything that you think maybe it ;)

adware usally has an uninstaller.

I think it's sorted now :). I had over 70 bugs, and no pop-ups have seemed to come up. I must get back into the habit of scanning :D

That's nothing. My friend had 987 viruses, adware, trojans and other nasties on her computer. Even took a screenshot of it for me :D

My bf jokes about that wayyy too much :P its starting to turn sour
