We had the X factor not so long ago in Australia, the ratings were miserable and the talent is worse. I can't say much for the new Australian Idol. At least you get Simon Cowell in England, that may boost ratings.

RE: The X-Factor by FrozenDaggers on 08-22-2005 at 12:23 PM

I watch it sometimes when nothing else is on. I think it gets boring after a while cause it's been on so many times before.

RE: The X-Factor by Anubis on 08-22-2005 at 01:12 PM

It really depends, the auditions are always good, it drags on from there and hypes up towards the end.
So yeah, I'll probabally watch it, but only if its entertaining, Saturday night tele seems to be getting crap

Simon Cowell > Ant and Dec

tis true

like this guy who come on xfactor saying how he was different and how amazing he was and stuff, then he sang amazingly awful and simon cowell goes, "wow"
RE: The X-Factor by xpirdwingz on 08-22-2005 at 07:24 PM

Haha, the guy at the very start with the 'touch my body' song and dance, lmao.

Only the auditions are funny. When those are finished and the groups are picked, I doubt I'll be watching much more.

That did own but I didn't watch it that much. It's better than X-Factor though.

RE: The X-Factor by user27089 on 08-27-2005 at 10:40 PM

X-Factor is a show that is on in the UK, it is basically a televised talent contest. They go to different cities and choose people who they think have a chance at something big, and they go through loads of stages, then 10 are picked for the final few shows... The winner gets a record deal I think...

RE: The X-Factor by mwe99 on 08-27-2005 at 10:41 PM

Yep you can find out more on

http://www.xfactor.tv/

The Auditions
It’s great telly! Cringe-worthy, captivating or extremely funny: some you’ll only be able to watch peeping from behind a cushion on your sofa! But reckon you’ve seen it all? Well think again. Anyone and everyone can audition for The X Factor, and they really have this year!

The Boot Camp
Hard-grafting! There’s no excuses at bootcamp, and that goes for judges as much as contestants. At Boot Camp it's revealed, for the first time, which judge will mentor which category. Kept secret from each other, the judges assemble a team of 'people' to help them decide who's got that elusive X Factor, and whittle their protégées down to the cream of the crop.

The Judges' Home Visits
It’s handbags at dawn! By this stage each judge takes the remaining acts from their given category and takes them home! Yes, the judges take their finalists back to their respective pads for some intensive pop-star training. But it won’t be all fun at the Osbournes’, sipping champers with Simon or living the high-life with Louis. Oh no. This is where the competition gets very serious indeed as the judges get rid of another two of their acts!

The Live Shows
You chose the winner! From an amazing 75,000 auditionees, only 4 from each category remain. The lucky finalists will perform for your votes as you watch the live performances and vote for the ultimate winner. Only you can decide who has got that elusive X Factor!

RE: The X-Factor by Negro_Joe on 08-30-2005 at 10:06 AM

Actually...i missed it on saturday :'( thats a crying shame i wanted to see desperate wannabes crying, because the weren't picked because they sound and look like an elephant!

RE: The X-Factor by Jimcando on 08-31-2005 at 03:28 PM

I only watch it at the beginning so I can watch all the people who can't sing.
I love it when some people dont get through so they beg or they start abusing simon :P
