im thinking it could be your antivirus or internet secruity also it could be googles servers but i dont think so that problum is only with MSN

It;s possible a firewall on your system is blocking something it needs, but tyhat doesn't seem likely, as I have not opened any ports at all to use any part of GT.

There are some volume up/down, mute, etc controls on Google Talk itself, just below the call button when you are in a call with someone.

MR_5_MR... You can't really expect people on this forum to debug something they know nothing about yet...

Report all your problems to google directly:

"If you're encountering difficulties or strange behavior, talk to us. We'll help you find the answers you need, or work with you to investigate the situation."

Google Help Centre

Ehm @ threadstarter, dit you setup your devices the right way? Did you select the right soundcard and input for your mic, etc? (settings-> audio)

Also check the windows audio setup if you selected the right device...

Are you sure your mic isnt muted or dodgy connection? It's the most common problems...
