Gmail has expand the amount of invites you can send form 50 to 100.

What did they think that after a period of updating the invite system on a regular base to 50, You now still have friends who didn't get an invite from you because you didn't have enough

They did this a few weeks ago to my account, and honestly over the amount of time I've had my account and the amount of invites I've given out I've ran out of people to give an account to. People don't want invites anymore; they're either very happy with Gmail or very happy with their current account.

Ive only given away like 3 or 4 invites out of my 100.

I gave some people a few invites, and I was dancing with joy that my 50 was going towards 40, then guess what, page refreshes 100 invites... I don't see why they just make it public now, the whole invite thing is stupid, it's been in beta for too long...

Everybody has a gmail account :rolleyes: .

well i signed up to gmail and i still havnt gotten any invites at all. is ther like a special way to get them or do they like come.........eventually?

But when i had 50 !! i used to send as many as i want without loosing the 50 !! i mean when i signin again, i look and i still have 50 !!

is it usuall or just happening with me ?

I hate you have to "mail" the invite, if you could get the list of 100 urls you could post them more easily...

just invite urself, i was going to do it 100 times, but then realised that it'd take too long. but i now have 7 directamondo urls

If you havent figured it out yet, its just a way of keeping it a bit more l33t wrt other email providers cause you cant sign up ... you need an invite (which is really easy to find)
Plus i think itll be made public only when they perfect their messenger and everything. Or they could just remove the beta tag and keep the invite system cause invite system > * :cheesy:

am I the only one who realises that gmail has already gone public?

you have to be in the USA to see the registration page and have to confirm that you're a human by receiving a confirmation SMS from google.

it's still under the 'beta' label though i guess

i think google will release the whole pack(gmail, gtalk, that desktop search thingy[dont rem the name], etc. )together and then make it public all over and remove the beta.
