Hey everyone,

I am very pleased to say that despite the unfair problems caused by Microsoft Anti-Spyware, Messenger Plus! is more popular than ever! the current statistics clearly show without the shadow of a doubt that Messenger Plus! is still your preferred MSN Messenger add-on with its continuous increase of user base and its 120,000 daily installations, all year long. The sound feature is even becoming too popular on its own: the sound servers had to be updated again recently to accept the millions of requests you send to them every day. By the end of the year, probably more than a billion sounds will have been exchanged on this service, all for free .

The petition is doing extremely well too, much more than expected actually as more people seem to be interested in defending their add-on against injustices than they are interested to win a PSP or a laptop: surprising but in a very good way . I found many comments from people who are not supporters of Messenger Plus!, who don't agree with distributing an optional sponsor but who still understand that the petition is about something much more important than that. When browsing the web for opposite comments, the only thing I could find seemed to come from a few people who still don't get that the petition is not about the sponsor but about the misdetection of Messenger Plus! by MSAS and the lies/fear it propagates. I wish some of those people learnt to read before they wasted some precious server space with articles out of subject and often deprived of common sense (articles that also tend to insult my whole user base with their single-minded comments about the Messenger Plus! users community, showing the level of intelligence of their authors).

That being said, I'm glad to announce that a date has been set for the release of Messenger Plus! 3.60: Tuesday 27th of September. In this release, expect bug fixes (with Messenger 7.5 for example), improvements in the Custom Sounds, and a couple of new features like the much awaited Tabbed Chats and the file triggers. Also, because you asked for it and because Messenger Plus! now needs a License Agreement on its own, the setup has been changed to make 200% sure nobody mistakes the Sponsor Agreement for something else (it was already hard before but some people raised some valid points about the agreement window and I don't intend to ignore any of my users).

Not GMT+4, because Norway - where I live - is GMT+1, and as far as I know Patchou doesn't live somewhere in Russia! I think you mean GMT-4.

One other thing, I thought Eastern time was GMT-5, but I might of course be wrong, or confused by variation in DST...

I <3 msg plus and the forums i always used to see traxor on them and used to think it was lame, yes, i did. i was such a fool. im on these forums as often as possible now.

I'm at GMT-5.

File triggers will let you share files automatically with your contacts by settings a trigger command. For example, you can set it so that if anyone sends you "!newphotos" it sends the last photos you took on a trip. People can browse through the files you are sharing, etc...

And yes, the API has been updated to let plugins add whatever they want in th event log .

Is this going to be the final update? I mean, you were saying that it might be the last, I hope it isn't.

I can't wait for 3.60, it is going to be brilliant.

there are too many new things to be the absolute final one (and there are most likely also still things which Patchou wants to add in a later release) don't worry

The new version souds great

Patchou, I really need you to see this post. I'm already have suggested this, and the only conclusion I got was that only you can do this! I tried to contact you by PM but nothing, so I don't think you know about this suggestion...

Very of my contacts have in their Names or Personal Message some URLs, and the thing is that I don't like to write the site letter by letter... and for know the only thing plugins can do is to in a conversation we can click the link... and this don't work if the link is on the Personal Message... so my suggestion is this:
Can you do some kind of menu were all the URLs a person have in the name can be found a then open?

Example: http://familyguy.freeunixhost.com/openlink.jpg

I think that the Anti-Spyware division of Microsoft should take care of curtain kind of things, and not just blindfull say that the mistake is at msn messenger. I think MSN messenger is doing good things with there software, there responsible for a lot of contact between millions of people all over the world. I use it for bussines as for private, and that can only be good. I say there's nothing wrong with my computer when im using msn and msn say it also, so that makes 2 against 1...If Microsoft not changing here software, then they are the spyware for taking away the contact between people.

We, translators, have more work to do than last couple of times. Fortunately, it makes Plus! better. New setup is very good, specially for those, who have had problems with sponsor installation.
