lol, id recommend using dreamweaver, it gets a lot of criticism sometimes but it is a handy tool...

if you dont want a WYSIWYG kinda thing just use the coding section from it so you can see ur work as u go along... i fin it helps...

jus remember to name the homepage index.html
RE: help making website by guanako on 09-15-2005 at 03:10 PM

RE: help making website by absorbation on 09-15-2005 at 03:14 PM

i do not suggest programs it 100% best to code it yourself :) html is easy and you will soon learn css just find a good tut and use notepad :)

i could host you ;)

RE: help making website by stoshrocket on 09-15-2005 at 04:37 PM

put it this way, i started two weeks ago not knowing a thing about HTML, took a day to learn and now look at my website... CSS an all.... <the website is on my sig>, plus if you purely code it then i find it easier to make your webbie more customized, and its would be easy just to modify, say the colour scheme, try http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_intro.asp to learn the HTML and then ask around forums for a free hoster, there ya go, sorted

RE: help making website by guanako on 09-15-2005 at 05:02 PM

RE: help making website by stoshrocket on 09-15-2005 at 05:04 PM

RE: help making website by guanako on 09-15-2005 at 06:50 PM

i c ima do something tonight . i'll see how i do then ask around like you said

RE: help making website by RaceProUK on 09-15-2005 at 08:41 PM

I'll back up the 'HTML is easy' crowd, and say once you've got the hang of it, you really can let the creative juices flow.
The W3C Validation Service is one of the most useful sites for any budding Web developer. It'll analyse your page, find errors, and tell you where they are in detail.

Note: if you don't use a DOCTYPE, the validator will guess, which may affect the results. Moral of the story - always use a DOCTYPE ;)

DONT USE HOST ULTRA!!
its horrible..
yea unlimited space anbd that stuff..
but u get like 5 pop-ups per page !!!
sometimes porn, not good for little kids..
i recomend www.freewebtown.com
no ads or anything!
allows FTP and other stuff..

and yea, code it yourself in notepad..
i do..
its much easier then a WYSIWYG program..

Dreamweaver is a product from Macromedia. Normally, you'd buy it from a store. It is available as a part of Studio as well.
