A hoster for my webbie by stoshrocket on 09-16-2005 at 09:53 PM

ok, after a little situation in the coding of my HMTL site i have sorted the main structure and am now looking fro a host. BUT, before any of you guys have a go and tell me to look on the free hosts sites thread, i want a person i can talk to about this, ie, i want a free hoster who i can speak to, not some website, i just want a nice free hoster person to host me via FTP with no ads! thnx! are there any kind souls out there??

RE: A hoster for my webbie by Pyro on 09-16-2005 at 11:11 PM

http://www.orgfree.com is good; you can get a .6te.net or a .orgfre.com domain.
125mb space
ftp
and if you go to http://www.freedomains.co.nr you can get a free .co.nr domain cos .tk domains now have ads

I could give you some space on my server.. although it would finish by .lp15.ws4f.us ... u could use a DNS

the ads may be taken off. I could host you if you would like. it would be sitename.louhabs.com though.

If you give me an idea of how much resource you will need, and how much space you need I might be able to shove you on my server. I could give you a subdomain (http://x.messengermad.com), mysql, ftp, php, and plently of bandwidth.

RE: A hoster for my webbie by stoshrocket on 09-17-2005 at 09:06 AM

i think im gonna need about 2/3 mb but its not finished yet, lol, erm.... thats about it reli, not too bothered about the domain/subdomain thnx

CORRECTION:: my website isnt going to need 2/3mb, but something mre like 1 mb, if that

RE: A hoster for my webbie by hmaster on 09-17-2005 at 02:51 PM

lol, k, couldnt you just add it to
http://methos2.skarz.co.uk/yourguildname/index.html

RE: A hoster for my webbie by stoshrocket on 09-17-2005 at 02:53 PM

not really, lol, when recruiting for the guild its best to say we have a website!! www.guildname.co.uk or summet, unless..... unless i use a free domain name.... is that possible??

RE: A hoster for my webbie by hmaster on 09-17-2005 at 03:07 PM

you can use http://guildname.tk and point it to http://methos2.skarz.co.uk/yourguildname/index.html

http://dot.tk  sign up and add the link to the site

i think http://afraid.org do it too
as well as http://www.freedomain.co.nr/ put you need to add a button to link back to them

RE: A hoster for my webbie by Matti on 09-18-2005 at 06:02 PM

I like funpic.
It's free, supports FTP, PHP and MySQL with no ads!
I use it 4 my PHP scripts which I use then on my non-PHP site (with a nicer URL :))

no. its not. its because the ads are optional and are  just set to on by default. I will explain more about this later.
