First thing. I got Vista beta 1 and i want to uninstall it. Considering it has no uninstaller i decided to manually uninstall. DT helped me. I changed my boot.ini and i deleted every Vista folder except Windows And Program Files. I want to delete something it says make sure its not in use.  So i looked on the net and i went to many places searched for 2 hours nonstop. It said how to delete File in Use files. It gave me a prog and i deleted the files in the old folders. So i treid deleting some more of em. With that prog Windows and Program files but i get a access denied. I tried Safe Mode. Restart etc i did the whole Shabang. So then i read about CMD the command RMDIR (file link) /s and it removed all the folders except Program Files and Windows. It said ACCESS DENIED. So i read about Access Denied's and it said it might not even be there. go to safemode to remove etc. I did it all and i cant get rid of it. I have been up all night and my school starts in 2 hours and i need help. Im going to stay up until I get a WORKING answer to remove my Vista Program Files and Windows.

edit3: DNOOOOOO i cant fix damnit to hell
edit4: ok obviously nobodys gonna help me before i go to sleep. so ya i rebooted my pc and it works just still gotta remove the 8gb windows folder and my program files on my D drive.

PS: Also im surprised i stayed up the whole night. I gotta bike to school im gonna die

ok i tested and i wanted to unlock a folder. Well it said it had nothing to unlock would you like to remove on boot? I click yes and nothing changed the folders and files are still there.

Try booting into the other operating system on your computer and then deleting the windows and program file folders that are from the Vista install

uh i removed basically everything from vista. I cant go onto it cuz its not there just around 4gbs of the 8gb windows folder is there

Anyways to confirm I am on XP now. Vista does not exist on my pc i just still have 4gbs of windows vista files and program files

Can't you just format the partition Vista is on?

... i know but i have alopt of other stuff on that drive.
