A couple of good audio software utilities by kierant on 09-23-2005 at 12:13 AM

After having a few issues with certain aspects of my music library I searched the net to try and solve them. On doing so I came across these two programs which are very handy:

1. HYMN - I found this when having trouble with music downloaded from iTunes. I didn't realise that it downloaded songs in mp4 (m4a) and also protected so I couldn't even play themon my iPod. So this program basically converts protected iTunes songs to mp3.

2. Album Art Finder - This can automatically download album art for albums that either WMP/iTunes gets wrong or doesn't havean image etc. Has a nice interface and easy to understand. Also makes it easier to assign albumart to each song of an album instead of just the folder of the album (if you get me).

My personal best program for audio editing is Goldwave from www.goldwave.com.
