Video Capture Card??? by prashker on 09-24-2005 at 08:49 PM

Hi,

I wana capture gameplay from my Xbox Games and pyut them on my pc. I think what you need to do that is a Video Capture Card.

First question.

I dunno what there called.

www.futureshop.com - Someone look there

www.thesourcecc.com - Someone look here

And maybe some other links but no ebay ones.

And i need to know how to use it. I have a old 27''(or so) in my room with my xbox. Its old and it only has RF at the back and NOT Audio and Video so how would it work. And how do I edit the video and what program captures it. Can I do it with Movie Maker? and are there Really good video editors to make text REALLY blend into it but still visible.

Help is really appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
SonicSam

You're correct, they are video capture cards. You can also look for Video capture/TV tuner cards, which allows you to receive a tv signal. Most cards will come with software (which is usually very basic - ie crap).
Your TV isn't important as you will capture straight from the Xbox (Preferrably S-video) - I'm pretty sure you can have your TV and computer hooked up at the same time.

It will be S-video out.

I've done a search for video capture cards around your area here.
