They are not like other tabs.. like miranda TabSRMM ..
They not Built-in ..

because plus! is a soft patch, it does not mess with the file because it's illigal

well it's against mircosoft's terms of use :) which i did not accept (6)

And soft patching is still illegal and as cookie says "a soft patch would be grey where as a normal patch would be black" :)

The tabs are added by Messenger Plus!, they are not part of MSN Messenger. It is not Microsoft who added the tabs but Messenger Plus!. So, of course they aren't "build in".

Messenger Plus! is not the same as MSN Messenger. Messenger Plus! is an (unofficial) addon for the chat client called MSN Messenger. You still are using MSN Messenger when you use Messenger Plus!. Messenger Plus! simply adds some more functionalities to MSN Messenger.

Y'sure? It's against the EULA to modify the executable or any of it's DLLs, but I don't recall it being against the EULA to modify the memory image.
