Text missing by user35870 on 10-05-2005 at 03:51 PM

I booted up my computer today to find the text that says "start" on my taskbar has gone and the name beside the display picture on the start menu.


I've tryed with other visual styles and they are still blank :S.

See the Attachment for a screenshot.

Does anyone no what could have happend? :

Do you have Styles XP, WIndows Blinds or any theming software like them?

Nope all I have is that patch which allows third party visual styles to run.

Maybe it corrupt some windows files :O

Possibly, styling programs etc. have a tendancy to do that.

These things can happen from one day to another, there's no clear explanation as to why. If you want to keep your Windows healthy i advice you to stay away from styling programs and tweakers. You can get pretty neat results with the built in styles and a nice wallpaper already. ;)

Almost all programs by a "unnown" person do that, better try well know programs by a industry or corporation (Y) Better quality. I had trouble too with patching softwares for windows, but never with tweakin soft nor WindowBlinds, but if you wan't to be 100% failsafe, don't use any of these
