[Suggestion]Word filter improvement by aC23 on 10-06-2005 at 03:24 AM

I think it would be useful if the word filter had an option to switch on/off a certain filtered word as case sensitive.

example:  I want to filter the word f*** but not the word F*cK, so I turn off the checkbox "Turn on case sensitivity for this word."

This is especially good with abbreviations.
Example: I am going to ny (---> Plus! would now change this to New York, but I dont want it to. I want it to change it to New York when i type NY)

etc.

~another good suggestion by aC23 ;)~

There is a "WordFilterCaseSensitive" registry key for this.

See http://msgplus.net/help_registry.php to learn how to do this.

Also an easier way is to download Plus! Tweak! from this thread

That's great, but it would be a lot simpler if it were integrated into Plus! directly :$
Also, i'd want it to be case sensitive with certain words, not all.

* -dt- votes for regular expressions.

the /i switch could come in handy here.

Many options (if not all) in Plus! can be made very advanced. However, Plus! isn't only for the experts, but mostly for the "n00bs" (if I can use that disrespectful word). So many options will lack advanced features (eg: like reg. exp. for the filters)...

Many options can be made so advanced and tweakable that you need multiple screens for 1 option. Somewhere there is the need to draw a line. In Plus! this line is "mostly used", "n00b-friendlyness", that sort of stuff... ;)
