Well, Nick's is a lot more advanced, using a lot more techniques, and it definately is detailed as it explains everything it does,
but I'm not sure if it's faster... mine I very fast and efficient too...
EDIT:
Also note that Nick's can't handle things like

...3.....
.........
.........
.........
.........
.........
or completely empty ones, while mine does find a valid solution

It really depends on the "server", to be honest.
Maybe Nick's is faster because it's on a better server, etc.
