Making a shortcut help by kierant on 10-16-2005 at 09:01 PM

Is it possible to create a shortcut (say to the desktop) of a button within an application? More specifically, in the Preferences Menu of RealOne Player there is a button I use regularly to edit my music. However, to get to it I have to open up the player, select Tools>Preferences and then select the option from the list on the side. For a one off it's no trouble but I am currently transferring all my music to my new laptop and need this button every minute or so. Therefore just being able to select the shortcut would save a whole lot of time.

I doubt it's even possible but I thought I'd ask anyway.
Thanks.

u could quickly make a vb or C++ program to do exactly that, shellexecute realplayer, open the preferences, do a findwindowex and find the button and click it.

Job Done
