Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum.

I just upgraded to a new puter & the Rename isn't working :(

Does anyone know why?

That's THE most often used feature.

Thanks, but I never asked how to do it, I said it's not working.  It's greyed out.  Please read posts carefully.

the function is Greyed out?..what or do you have any Plugins?  besides MsgPlus

Yup, greyed out & I just upgraded to a new system, so the only thing on there is MSN & now Messenger Plus.

Very weird indeed.  I've been using it for years w/ no problems.  :(

...You were very -generalised - in your post..so I gave you a generalised answer..sorry I can't  see that its"greyed ouT'the answer could have been as simple as your question..

can you give us a little more information..(which is listed in the instructions of posting on the "bug report forum")
(for future reference give us a
"complete" description of the problem in report post):)

and your version numbers of MsgPlus!, Messenger, and Windows. ..?:D

Yes, sorry I didn't say greyed out b4, but I did say it's not working.

There isn't much to tell, otherwise I'd include more.  This is all a fresh install within the last 24 hrs.

I'm on XP & I just DLed Messenger Plus & MSN today, so:

Messenger Plus: 3.61.145
MSN: 4.7.3001

I have a feeling this is Windows Messenger, the application intented for business use which comes with Windows XP. The rename contacts functionality (along with other options) is not available for Windows Messenger.

If you wish to use it, please use MSN Messenger :)

Ahh, it worked.  I had no idea there even was a Windows Messenger.  Why in the world would they have 2??? LOL
