MSNBash.ORG Beta Tester Invite by DomZ on 10-21-2005 at 11:47 AM

Im sure you've all heard of MSN Messenger, and im sure at some point, you've been speaking to someone, and something extremely funny has been said.
Well have you ever wished there was a place where you could share these funny moments with fellow MSN'ers. Well, there now is such a place.

This place is called MSNBash. MSNBash is like bash.org, except it stores msn quotes instead of IRC quotes.

MSNBash.ORG (the first and only MSN Messenger QuotesDB) is looking for approximately 50 beta testers to submit funny MSN quotes, suggest new features and give feedback on existing features.

A preview of what the site is can be found at msnbash.org (OK it's not the best image in the world but I whipped it up in 5 mins). If your a fan of bash.org then you cant miss out on this.

Who we want

We want enthusiastic MSN users who have a good general knowledge in how Web systems work and will be able to report problems as well as providing suggestions for improvements.

We are also looking for people who think they are "funny" and/or "witty". Reason self explanitory.

How to apply

Send an email to domzy.com [at] gmail.com with a brief paragraph why you would like to take part and anything else that you feel you want to include. Users who have the most attractive "descriptions" with be selected as Moderators for the site. Thanks for reading!

You didnt read one bit of the post right?
look at http://qdb.us (bash.org is down atm) then think of a msn version of that.

DomZ: did you not realise that bash.org accepts MSN quotes already and has done for about a year now?

Nah, I thought it was IRC only? bash.org has been down for ages anyways so maybe there is still use for msnbash?

Anyone interested in testing?

Nope, they accept any IM format. AIM/MSN/Yahoo/etc. It's been in their FAQ for ages. It's down at the moment due to DDoS. Hopefully it will be back up asap. A bunch of the mods/admins hang around in #geekissues on EFnet so go ask them for more details. I personally don't see a use for msnbash. Oh, btw, the two quotes on that image are just not funny. :/

maybe the only use would be if you could submit quotes directly from the conversation

RE: MSNBash.ORG Beta Tester Invite by DomZ on 10-25-2005 at 03:15 PM

Yeh that was an idea I had, something like this:

/xmsnbash 6

would pop up a dialog with the last 6 lines of the conversation (a preview) and a submit button. Or alternatively /xmsnbash -n 6
would do it without the preview.

Whats interesting is now that bash is back up, I went to the add quote page and this is what it says:

" You may submit quotes from any chat medium, so long as they have reasonable formatting (IRC, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, NOT MSN or MS Chat)."

It contradicts itself :S

which would be better if you use the quote sender from plus! and submit them to bash.org directly
