How to save Rename data by netwhr on 10-25-2005 at 01:59 AM

When we have lots customers or friends renamed, it is hard to rename them once again to identify each one. I would like to know how to save Rename details in Messenger Plus, Thanks.

Like "123456" in the sample picture.

There is already an import/export settings option in MsgPlus! :) It will save your Custom Names and other settings (you can choose what to save on the export dialog).

Here you can find more information about it.

Oh, get it. Thank you very much, Leo.

But I found that when I reinstalled and overwrote the original copy of MSN Plus!, all naming data lost. Is that normal? :(

I think that's fine as long as you can import your preferences.

When you reinstall Messenger Plus!, no preferences is lost. When you uninstall, every preferences is removed by default, however, you do not need to uninstall before installing new versions. That being said, the uninstaller gives you the option to keep your preferences or not.

make sure this is unchecked during uninstall to keep your preferences
