I would really love to see the 'invisible mode' as in ICQ
and the ability to resume file transfers :)

Ability to change your Display name in the same way you can change the Personal message (i.e by just clicking on it.)

Our input makes nothing plus this was already done and one of msn team commented below:

I would like to see the transfers in another window, resume etc options.

Able to send messages to offline users (like in ICQ) ..maybe alittle hard to make it but ICQ did it, why not MSN :)

More skinnable options, I hate the "grey look" of msn, I want it to look like my windows XP blue skin..

leaving messages for offline users..although Messenger Plus!  has this option..I think the  MSN Messenger 8 should have this, like ICQ does.

I've had this idea for a while:  When you close a conversation a person may say something, the second before you close it, so you don't know what they said, or w/e.  But anyways they should make it so it still has all the messages or the last 5/10 or something the next time you open it.

If you save ur conversation, then ull see the last 3 messages in a pale gray when opening the window again

not sure but I think;)

The messages for offline would be good but I think it's better in Plus!
Also, maybe less ads, or better placed ads [stupid convo ads!]

Its similiar but on icq u can still send and receive messages
( a lil more indepth)::
Contacts on your Invisible List see your status as offline even if you are online, however when you are online you'll still receive events sent by them.

Contacts on your Visible list will be able to see your online status even when you're in the Privacy (Invisible) mode and appear to be offline to other users. An Invisible icon will appear next to your name on their Contact List so that they know you are in Invisible to other users.

If you have activated your Web Aware feature and you're connected to the ICQ servers, Web status indicators will continue to indicate that you are online, even if you are in the Invisible (Privacy) mode for certain users.

where as on msn messenger currently you cannot do that. When u "appear offline"u cannot send nor receive messages.

This will not happen. Especially when more and more people use hacks, patches and what not to hide the existing ads.

MS puts a lot of money into MSN Messenger and there are a lot of prgrammers to pay, yet it is free for us; the money must come from somewhere...
