i just read your Space, i believe you. there are more screenshots on his Space and it DOES show that it is a real Messenger 8.0.

Only thing, in these screenshots above how did u sign in? how come on your space you claim couldn't sign in anymore (which should be the case because it is an internal build)?

it is named "Messenger 8.0 BETA" in these screenshots, different from what Bill Gates showed, is because the build Bill showed is mainly to advertise the "Windows Live" lines. This is a genuine internal leaked build.

If it is indeed real, how exactly was it leaked?

Surely an MS employee wouldnt risk their job doing so?

alot of people are gonna move from messenger if thats the new look. it's ugly.

iv got some infomation from my friend who is a beta member he has told me a few things (im not going to leak them) but all those screenshots are fake everyone of them there is no way anyone could have msn 8.0 yet becuase even the beta testers haveny even got the beta yet

yep i totally agree with you with the cannot sign-in part because it is only available for beta (or internal) testers.

However, not being able to sign in doesn't mean the screenshots are fake.

sooooooooo ugly plus i have it and access is hard but there is a way which i shall not mention. Please do not ask. I really hate the new design of this and it seems to be the only change as only 3 new features are reconised.

Maybe the new server it's connecting too means fixing of .pif and other server troubles

Look reports are saying that it is going to be called Windows Live Messenger not MSN Messenger anymore.

This screenshot says "The future of MSN Messenger".

Lets wait till the beta testers have their copy before disgussing this any further.

Yes guys, the screenshots that were leaked a few days/a week ago were indeed real (At least, the ones I looked at). This is INDEED MSN Messenger 8.0 BETA/Windows Live Messenger. It's not fake, and it is out to beta testers already. Released earlier this morning.

hehehe. patchou's probably gonna have a fun time with the new build, and compatability.
