is there a program that i can download to edit quicktime movies?

i recorded a video from my digital camera, and i want to edit some of the movie.

Why not export the .mov files to MPEG?

With Quicktime PRO this is possible

Does your camera have the option to save as avi. Avi usally holds better quality and most good editors support the extension :)

my digital camera can only save as .mov

I checked again, and noticed that only MPEG4 was supported.

However avi was also supported so I suggest you export them to avi, and most video editing programs support avi.

Sony Vegas 5 can do that i guess

also you might want to try Adobe Premiere
