Download Flash File (SWF) ? by Chris4 on 11-09-2005 at 07:41 PM

What I would like to do is download games from other game sites and upload them onto my webspace and make a small gaming site (instead of providing the link)

When I go to whatevergamesite.com/gamefile.swf it takes me to the game, but what I want to do is download that file.

How can I download it?

Thanks. :D

There is a program that you can use called FlashCatcher to download them. You can download it from here: http://www.justdosoft.com/.

There are other methods, but they're slower, this is the quickest one to do...

Well when it says view right click and select "save link as" should do it. (using firefox)

If it is embedded into a page make the link yourself and use that technique. Sorry it is the only way i can think of.

Yeah, I didn't think of that. Problem is the link goes to the HTML file, so it won't download the SWF file. Thanks anyway :D

Or of course, if it is in a page like Weebls stuff, then you can right click and press "View Page Info", and then go to "Media" and look for the relevant .swf file then safe it...

This is Mozilla Firefox only.
