"E-Mail Not Verified" fallback for non-Hotmail users? by Gobelet on 11-12-2005 at 02:55 AM

Hi there,

I just noticed that Passport wants me to verify my adress. A thing that I did like a year ago. It happened to a friend of mine too. We're both on Gmail, both using the last MSN Messenger client. We can't receive the message for e-mail verification. Oh and we're in France, it that matters (server-wise).

Anyone noticed the same thing?

Thanks.

How to take (Email Address not Verified) off the end of your name without verification

That's weird because a couple of days ago I verified my Gmail address and everything went ok. I know that when registering in Hotmail, there are some special features (normally the space available for your account) depending on where you live but never heard of anything like that for Passport registration. By the way, I'm from Portugal but I think being from France has anything to do with your problem. Maybe the service is having some problems, try again tomorrow or in a few days.

Well there are servers spread all around the world, maybe France has its own... Or maybe it's just "America" "EMEA" and "Asia".

Okay, it works again now, I've rebooted and it works.

ALOT of people have been having this done to them. It must be a problem with the passport service.
