YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! SO MANY YEARS and now we finally beat Uruguay and made it into the World Cup!!!!


man i don't know what to say, the australian goalkeeper is a hero.

I know how small the Australian soccer team's chance is to get into World Cup.
And I heard a rumor to include Australia to Asian group zone to make Australian soccer more competitive.

Urugauy beat us 1-0 away
and we beat them 1-0 here, so it went to extra time then penalties.

our goalie pulled 2 amazing saves out of nowhere, it was so good :P we wont he penalties 4-2.

We watch it on telly sometimes, when our local club plays or when it's international games (when our country plays)..i'm happy if they win but that's about it for me. I rather watch a good film :P

Actually we were all supporting Australia at school today (they turned the tv on), just because of Hiddink. When he was the coach of SK, everyone in Holland was supporting them, since the Netherlands didn't make it..

Sunshine: The dutch and the spanish Football teams are the most pathetically dissapointing teams ever ... so much talent .... no output :sad:

Not to mention the english :dodgy: They should be banned from soccer if they dont reach atleast the semi's :P (A) They always seem to meet good opponents early on but ffs if you are such a good team then you should beat them.

Most european teams which underachieve have the problem that the team doesnt work well together but individually the players may be awesome (which doesnt count most of the time :P)

Time .... its ok but the only thing is that they call a foul for almost every single contact ..... it is really ..... how can i put it ..... girly (in a way) ??

Like any other American sport its so abrupt, stopping every 20 seconds (yes, I am aware this is an exaggeration) to ponce about with stuff - baseball and NFL are the same. In football (soccer) over here you can actually get 30 minutes of consecutive uninterrupted play.

well, if we go out in the first round who cares, we made it. we'll just go back to all the other sports were really good if not the best at like cricket, (that gaelic footy), Rugby etc.

The list could go on and on on sports are or were recently no.1 in the world at. for a country with a pop of only 20mil i think you could say thats a fair effort compared to most countries.
