I need to do some video editing for a school project and add like cool effects to it, now I was wondering whether to use ulead or to use premiere pro. Or even any others you guys might suggest. Any comments would be helpful. Once I finish the script for the skit I am filming I will post it :).

Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 - Can't go wrong with it, it's professional grade video editing software and it's the one i use when i need to edit videos :)

Final Cut Pro

(imagine spotlights wavering around the name and a cool sound)

Ulead is very buggy and annoying and slow. At least the version that came with our camera. I use Adobe Premiere pro 1.5 and it works well. You can get a 30day trial that is pretty much the full thing from their website. You might need to take a little while learning how everything works, but its pretty worth it.
