Margins in MS Word - Printable Version

i was messing around with my margins on Word and i cant get them back to normal. I went to Page Setup and selected to reset back to the defualt option but it didnt work. any way to revert back to the orignal settings
ill post a screeny of the rulers the left one is dodgy and im not sure if the top one is correct

Mouse over the little grey area you see at the top between the ruler and the page, it should say "show white space" in a tooltip. Click it and the top margin should reappear.

ahh thanx, but it seems the margins are bigger than they should be

[Edit] the number it says at the end of both rulers says 4. shouldnt it be smaller?

anyone know the numbers the rulers should be on?

Note: the vertical margin had to be zoom out so i can print screen it

Everything you change there applies to a specific section only. So make sure you also select the correct selection for that: current selection, whole page, whole section, etc...

that totally depends on what your preferences are, aka: it should be whatever your prefer. I often use 1 to 2.5 cm, depending on the type of document I make.

i fixed it now. i got my mate to give me the margin sizes.
Just to let you know i use the default margin sizes
