I'm planning to put more RAM in my comp so i just wanted to make sure i was getting the rigth thing. The mobo i have is an Asus A7N8X - which has 3 RAM slots - and right now i this for RAM: DDR Corsair 512MB (2*256) 400fsb Cas2 TWINX. Now i was wondering if i added this: DDR Corsair 512MB 400fsb Cas2 if it would all work well (even if it isn't TwinX). Thank for the help :)

it will work, i have the same mobo and as long as the sticks are DDR it'll work :)

Note that such stuff can easly be found in the manual of your motherboard. If you don't have the manual, look it up on the net:

For the Asus A7NX motherboard (or any Asus motherboard for that matter), look at the download section on Asus' official homepage:
  Product: Motherboard
  Series: Socket A
  Model: A7N8X

There you'll find:
  - Aflash (v2.21), an utility to update the flash BIOS
  - A7V-M flash BIOS
  - VIA Audio Driver
  - Realtek RTL8139C PCI Fast Ethernet NIC Driver
  - ASUS AMR driver
  - VIA 4 in 1 Drivers (AGP, INF and IRQ Routing Driver)
  - AMD Athlon AGP Driver
  - USB patch file
  - A7V-M User Manual

Thus you need:

168-pin 3.3Volt DDR400 (PC3200 max) unbuffered SDRAM DIMMs of maximum 512MB (with less then 18 chips on the stick).

The "TWINX" means that the memory module would have been sold in pairs of two! "TWINX" memory module pairs are selected and tested in dual channel motherboards at very aggressive latency settings for optimum performance and compatibility. The two modules are therefore an exact perfect match.

So you don't need to have "TWINX" memory modules, a non-TWINX will work also, but it wont perform as good as a matched pair. eg: one TWINX from one pair and another TWINX from another pair wouldn't perform as good either, hence they are sold per pair and not seperate.
